Millom beat Netherhall in a closely contested final at Egremont on 07/05/08, KO was delayed by 10 minutes or more. The match was evenly contested from the start, Millom took an early 8-0 lead, Netherhall scored a classy try midway through the half. But Millom took a 8-5 lead into half time. Ashley Lamonts penalty and a Rickie Kershaw try.

The second half was as tense as the first with both sides having some good spells, Millom scored a second try again though Rickie Kershaw, and Netherhall replied with two late penalties. making the last few minutes nerve racking.
